Pivotal Game Goes to Host Cattlemen, 6-2
|
Game was big. So was Armando Romano.
In leading Ft. Worth to a crucial 6-2 victory over the Wizarding Express at The Cattle Pen today, the Ft. Worth starter rose to the occasion, tossing 6.2 good innings and earning player of the game honors. Romano threw 6 innings of 3-hit ball as the Cattlemen defended their home field to seize a - lead in the best-of- Round 2031.
Ft. Worth first baseman Marcos Roa helped the Cattlemen go up, 2-0, in the bottom of the second inning. With the game tied, Roa hit a 2-run home run off Wizarding pitcher Javier Roldán.
Roa called the triumph "a good team win."
