Braves Even With Longnecks After Home Win
The Gryfindor Braves and the Bloomington Longnecks will take the SL AAA Championship to a decisive 5th game. In a must-win situation today, the Braves beat the Longnecks 4-2 at Cayuse Ballpark to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Gryfindor right-hander George Armstrong was named player of the game in the win after he threw 8 innings of shutout ball.

Armstrong was in the zone all game. He frustrated Bloomington hitters while giving the Braves 8 innings of quality work. Armstrong threw 111 pitches, allowing 5 hits and getting 2 punchouts.

"It's nice to come out on top today," said Armstrong.

The next game is scheduled for Friday in Bloomington. Slated to start are Jorge Cedeño for Gryfindor and Bob Weatherall for Bloomington.
