Road Win Lifts Royse City to 3-2 Lead in R1
The Royse City Targaryens moved to within one game of the Round 2 today, downing the Bakersfield Nobles on the road at Jerome Grounds by a score of 5-1. Targaryens left-hander Alec Pittman was named player of the game after a strong outing in which he threw 7 innings of 6-hit ball. The win gives the Targaryens a 3-2 advantage in the best-of-5 PL AAA Championship.

Royse City took the lead in the top of the sixth. With one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Alberto Vargas stroked a 2-run single to make it 3-1, Targaryens.

"Every team in baseball loses," Nobles manager James Wheeler said. "We're in the playoffs and we still have the same guys that got us here. We'll bounce back."
