The Wizarding Express went into extra innings against the Houston 1837 BBC but ultimately moved to within one game of the Round 2 today.

The Express downed the 1837 BBC at Houston Grounds by a score of 3-2. Even as his squad took the loss, Houston left-hander Roy Alsobrook was named player of the game for a solid outing in which he threw 7 innings of 3-hit ball. The win gives the Express a - advantage in the best-of- Silver League Championship.

Fernando Sánchez, who is on pace to hit 22 home runs this season, aided the Wizarding cause with a solo home run in the top of the eighth. For the game, the first baseman went 1 for 4 with a home run.
