Home Field Advantage: Briddon, Kingston Township Open Third League Championship with Win

Game was big. So was Jon Briddon.
In leading Kingston Township to a crucial 6-5 victory over the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC at Cloverdale Legion Park today, the Kingston Township starter rose to the occasion, tossing 6.1 good innings and earning player of the game honors. Briddon threw 6 innings of 5-hit ball as the Legion defended their home field to seize a - lead in the best-of- Third League Championship.
Kingston Township took the lead in the bottom of the seventh. With no one out and a runner on 1st, Jim Scott stroked a run-scoring double to make it 6-5, Legion.
"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Scott told a Kingston Township Daily reporter. "Sometimes we need just to relax."
