Still Kicking: Portland Cut Chicago Series Lead to - With Late Win
The Portland Evergreens went into extra innings against the Chicago Hawks but ultimately moved to within one game of the Round 2 today. The Evergreens downed the Hawks at Hawks Ballpark by a score of 7-2. Portland right-hander Gerald Keller was named player of the game after a solid outing in which he threw 7 innings of 2-hit ball. The win gives the Evergreens a - advantage in the best-of- Silver League Championship.

Keller delivered a quality start for Portland. The 6' 0" right-hander allowed 1 run on 2 hits over 7.1 innings of work.
