Host Lakers Drop Pivotal Game , Now Trail Series -

The Rocky Mountain Nuggets moved to within one game of the Round 2 today, downing the Echo Park Lakers on the road at Rangers Stadium by a score of 6-4. Nuggets right-hander Nathaniel Riley was named player of the game after a strong outing in which he threw 8 innings of 7-hit ball. The win gives the Nuggets a - advantage in the best-of- Silver League Championship.
A crucial at-bat came with a runner on 2nd and one out in the top of the seventh inning. That's when center fielder Luis Ríos, who is rated as the 14th best prospect by BNN, drew a walk. The Nuggets went on to win.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Riley told reporters after the game.
