Middies Prevail, 7-5, Over Portland
|
Phil MacNamara left his imprint on the 7-5 Grafton win against the Portland Evergreens. MacNamara, who leads the SL in doubles with 10, was 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. The save went to Kenete Daku, his 6th this season. Grafton is now 13-13.
MacNamara had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a 2-2 slider from Gene Kirkland, he banged a 2-run home run to right-center, giving the Middies a 7-5 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for MacNamara.
"I felt good up there," said MacNamara. "I saw the ball well."
