Tula Best Dragonblood in Pitching Duel

The Chicago Tula picked up a win at Ramblers Ballpark, knocking off the Yellowknife Dragonblood, 2-1. Starting pitcher Andrew Prieto was an essential part of his team's success. The winning pitcher was Prieto, now 7-6. He tossed 7.2 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 7. Cedric Zuercher, credited with the save, is now 17 for 20 in save opportunities.
Also making an impact was third baseman Jim MacRach, who drilled a run-scoring single in the bottom of the first inning for the Tula. For the game, MacRach was 3-3 with a double and 2 singles.
"It was a solid team effort," said Prieto after the game.
The win puts the Tula at 42-53, while the Dragonblood drop to 51-44.
