Chukars Fall to .500 After Loss to Black Cats
|
The Gwinnett County Black Cats got a stellar performance from pitcher Maxx Bleecher, who handcuffed the Idaho Falls offense en route to a 5-1 win at Pipers Ballpark. Bleecher picked up the win for Gwinnett County, going 7 innings. He gave up 1 run on 9 hits. He now sports a record of 3-3. Gwinnett County has now won 3 in a row.
In the bottom of the seventh inning, pinch hitter Víctor Sánchez came through big-time for the Black Cats. With Gwinnett County leading 2-1, he belted a 3-run home run.
"Some of the guys in here work pretty hard, some of the guys just kind of fall out of bed and get it done. Whatever works I guess, we won this one," Bleecher told the Gwinnett County Times.
