The inspired effort of Phoenix center fielder Joseph Antoine was not enough to prevent a 5-4 loss to the Idaho Falls Chukars. Antoine went 2 for 2 with 2 singles and 2 walks. Earning his 13th save for Idaho Falls was Ramón Granados. Phoenix's current losing streak is now 6 games.
In the top of the 8th, pinch hitter Shih-k'ai Sima gave Idaho Falls the lead when he hit a 2-run single. The Chukars had been trailing 4-3, but the two-out single off Phoenix pitcher Jason MacDonald changed that -- and Idaho Falls went on to win.
"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Sima told the Idaho Falls Daily.
