Chukars Prevail, 6-4, Over Yellowknife
|
The Idaho Falls Chukars topped the Yellowknife Dragonblood, 6-4, with youngster Luo-lang Li playing a key role. Li went 2 for 4 with a home run. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for the Chukars in the win. Idaho Falls reliever Chin-seok Hwang picked up the win, upping his record to 2-2. Forest Stanley absorbed the loss. Ramón Granados was credited with the save for Idaho Falls, his 12th of the season.
Jared Morningstar, who is tied for 8th in the PA in hits with 74, aided the Idaho Falls cause with a run-scoring ground out in the bottom of the first. For the game, the designated hitter drove in one run.
"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Li.
The 4th-place Chukars have won 4 consecutive games.
