Generals Come Up Short at Phoenix
|
Phoenix designated hitter Kyle Vandusen made his presence felt in the 5-4 Hotspur U-21 triumph over the Washington Generals. Vandusen was 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI. Jason MacDonald was called on to finish, recording his 5th save. The Hotspur U-21' win now puts them at 22-41.
Also making an impact was right fielder Phil Mazzeo, who drilled a run-scoring single in the bottom of the second inning for the Hotspur U-21. For the game, Mazzeo went 2-4 with 2 singles and a walk.
"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Washington manager Jacob Curtis. "The effort was great."
