Idaho Falls Edges Hammond, 1-0, Beck Ks 11
|
Noah Beck never let the Herons get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his curveball, to pitch the Chukars to a 1-0 win. Hammond's current losing streak has reached 4 games.
The Chukars liked what they saw from Beck. The 19-year old pitcher had a commanding presence on the mound, limiting the Herons to no earned runs on 2 hits over 8 innings, and striking out 11.
"I really like what we did out there today," Beck said after the game.
