South Beach right-hander Aaron Briggs pitched his team to victory over the Hammond Herons at The Ballpark on the Beach. The final score was 3-1. The Blaze have an impressive 23-9 record.

Dennis Wacher, who is tied for 6th in the PA in triples with 2, helped out the South Beach cause in the bottom of the fifth inning with a run-scoring double. For the game, the second baseman went 1 for 3 with a double.

"Some of the guys in here work pretty hard, some of the guys just kind of fall out of bed and get it done. Whatever works I guess, we won this one," Briggs told the South Beach Daily.
