Briggs Sensational for Blaze
The South Beach Blaze picked up a win at Pipers Ballpark, knocking off the Gwinnett County Black Cats, 6-2. Starting pitcher Aaron Briggs, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. South Beach is now riding a 3-game win streak.

The Black Cats had little chance against Briggs, who overpowered Gwinnett County hitters and struck out 12.

"Some of the guys in here work pretty hard, some of the guys just kind of fall out of bed and get it done. Whatever works I guess, we won this one," Briggs told the South Beach Daily.
