Idaho Falls Chukars starter Vicente Romero turned in a sterling performance against the Hammond Herons, leading his team to a slim 2-1 win. Idaho Falls is now 11-14, Hammond 9-16.
Luo-lang Li found himself in a pressure situation in the bottom of the ninth. Facing Hammond hurler Bob Christison, the 21-year-old right fielder reached on an error by the 3B, driving in 1 run. His 1st RBI of the season put the Chukars on top, 2-1.
"I'm glad I could get it done when the game was in the balance," Romero said in his postgame press conference.
