The Wizarding Express defeated the Ft. Worth Cattlemen, 7-5. Earning player of the game honors was designated hitter Salvador Trevino, who went 2-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Eijiro Takahashi earned the save, his 3rd, for the Express. The win pushes Wizarding to a record of 9-7.
Nathan Tanner had a big 2-run triple for the Express in the bottom of the third inning. With Wizarding trailing 4-1 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he got a fastball from Gustavo Pérez and stroked the triple to right. It was his 2nd triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Express ahead, 4-3.
"It wasn't our best performance," said Tanner, "but a win in this league is nothing to sniff at."
