Chukars Prevail, 7-5, Over Washington
|
The Idaho Falls Chukars dealt the Washington Generals a 7-5 loss at Washington Park. Juan Rosado was the star on offense. He went 3-4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs. José Castro, who went 6.2 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 5 runs on 10 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 5. His record now stands at 1-0. The defending champion Chukars have struggled a bit to find their groove this season, but improve to 5-6 with the win.
Fytor Ceia helped out the Idaho Falls cause in the top of the sixth inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the third baseman was 2-4 with a double and a walk.
"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Rosado.
