Reapers Get Road Win, 8-5
|
Grim left fielder Milos Jaksch was instrumental in his team's 8-5 win over the Delaware 1787 BC. Jaksch, who is tied for 5th in the SA in hits with 89, went 4-6 with 1 run scored to lead the offensive attack for the Reapers. Grim reliever Finley Berose picked up the win, upping his record to 2-3. Kent Horton absorbed the loss. Arturo Durán picked up the save, his 20th.
Askari bin Idris had a big 2-run triple for the Reapers in the top of the fourth inning. With Grim leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from Kent Horton and stroked the triple to right. It was his 3rd triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Reapers ahead, 3-0.
"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said Grim manager Dale Wolfe.
Grim now has a 3-game win streak.
