Northern Lions BC Fall Short, 5-4, at Ft. Worth
|
Despite a fine performance by catcher Carlos Padilla, the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC suffered a 5-4 loss to the Ft. Worth Cattlemen. Padilla went 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs. Ft. Worth, now 7-4, has gotten their season off to a good start.
Also making an impact was second baseman Robby Day, who drilled a triple in the bottom of the fourth inning for the Cattlemen. For the game, Day scored once.
"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said Thunder Bay manager Scott Williams.
