The Bellevue Bruins got a strong performance from pitcher Justin Flynn, who stymied the Syracuse offense en route to a 3-2 win at Storm Park. Paco Salazar converted his 28th save in 30 tries. The Bruins bumped their record to 46-23 with this latest triumph.

It could have been a different outcome for Bellevue, had it not been for Ryan Faulkner, the 22-year old shortstop . Faulkner contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put Bellevue up, 3-1.

"We put it together today and came out with the win," Flynn said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
