Thrilling Walk-Off Win for Expos

Both teams had their chances, but the Niagara Falls Expos eventually prevailed at Waterfall Park.
Francisco Valentín made an impact in the 8-7 Niagara Falls win over Galesburg. Valentín, who is tied for 9th in the SA in RBI with 30, went 2-2 with 2 home runs and 2 walks, while scoring 3 times and driving in 3. Pat Clement picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 2-1. Steve Wortley was tagged with the loss.
Hsi-men King was the walk-off hero for Niagara Falls. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Expos third baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"The name of the game is scoring runs," Valentín said. "We did a pretty good job of that today."
The Expos improved to 28-29.
