It was a fun time at Gators Ballpark, where the Delaware 1787 BC and Hogsmeade Cauldrons tangled.
Hogsmeade right-hander Carlos Salcido made an effective start against the Delaware 1787 BC at Gators Ballpark, leading his team to a 2-0 win. Salcido, now 3-5, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 9, walking 1, and allowing no earned runs.
Mariano Saelices, who is tied for 4th in the SA in home runs with 6, helped out the Hogsmeade cause in the bottom of the fifth inning with a run-scoring double. For the game, the catcher was 2 for 3 with a double and a walk.
"Feels good to get the job done," Saelices said after the game.
The 4th-place Cauldrons improved to 23-21.
