Derek Patton of the Niagara Falls Expos put on a pitching clinic today at Waterfall Park as he struck out 15 Connetquot Chiefs in a 5-1 victory. Patton was simply magnificent as he held the Chiefs to 2 hits. He walked 2.

"I felt okay at the beginning," Patton said, "but eventually my slider really started working. I also have to thank my catcher for calling a great game."

When asked about Patton's performance, Expos manager Dave Ross shook his head and said, "Yeah, he was pretty good out there today. He was dominating."

To date this year, Patton shows a 1-3 record, 5 starts, 30.1 innings, 37 strikeouts and a 4.75 ERA.
