Late Rally by Bruins Secures Win
|
The Bellevue Bruins did just enough to secure a 3-2 victory over the Niagara Falls Expos at Waterfall Park. Nobody did more than pitcher Jerry Kumpf, who captured player of the game honors. Paco Salazar picked up the save, his 9th. The Expos fall to 8-10 and continue their lackluster start in 2030.
Ryan Faulkner made it 3-2 in favor of Bellevue when he delivered a run-scoring single. It came with two out in the top of the ninth. The Bruins went on to win.
"Baseball is about momentum," said Faulkner, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
