Victory Pushes Bruins Record to 7-4
|
The Bellevue Bruins picked up a win at Storm Park, knocking off the Syracuse Storm, 5-1. Starting pitcher Jeff Porter, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Porter picked up the win for Bellevue, going 7.2 innings. He gave up 1 run on 8 hits. He now sports a record of 2-0. Paco Salazar finished to wrap up his 6th save.
Lorenzo Díaz helped out the Bellevue cause in the top of the eighth inning with a 2-run single. For the game, the pinch hitter was 1 for 1. He drove in 2 runs.
"I had pretty good command out there," said Porter.
The win moves Bellevue to a record of 7-4.
