Hotspur Win Again, Extend Streak to 7
|
Phoenix left fielder Francisco García made his presence felt in the 6-3 Hotspur triumph over the Brooklyn Dodgers. García went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Miguel Rubia was the winner. Over 9 innings, he allowed 3 runs on 7 hits, with 3 walks and 6 strikeouts. Phoenix has a 7-game win streak, while Brooklyn has lost 7 in a row.
García had a big at-bat with runners on 2nd and 3rd in the bottom of the seventh inning, when he hit a 3-run home run. The Hotspur went on to win.
"We'll savor this win," García told the Phoenix News, "then get ready for the next game."
