BC Get One-Run Win at Nebraska
|
The Put-In-Bay BC got a good effort from starter Liangde Chien in defeating the Nebraska Plainsmen at Plain Old Stadium. The final score was 2-1. In 7 innings, Chien surrendered 7 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 1. He allowed 1 run. Tupac Blanch closed it out for his 1st save.
Wally Briggs had a clutch at-bat with one out in the top of the seventh for the BC. Coming up with runners on 1st and 3rd and Put-In-Bay trailing 1-0, he hit a 2-run triple.
