Torch Prevail, 3-2, Over Alameda

Fans who came to Torch Field watched the Mancelona Torch and the Alameda Airmen fight to the finish.
The Mancelona Torch picked up a win at Torch Field, knocking off the Alameda Airmen, 3-2. Starting pitcher Pu-feng Zhou, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Zhou got the win, improving to 12-6. He allowed 4 hits and walked 2 over 7.1 innings. Zhou allowed 2 earned runs. Geoffroy Cadaloba was called on to finish, recording his 11th save.
It could have been a different outcome for Mancelona, had it not been for Daniel McCoy, the top prospect . McCoy contributed a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the seventh inning to put Mancelona up, 3-2.
"We'll savor this win," Zhou told the Mancelona Times, "then get ready for the next game."
