Plainsmen Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Torch
|
Nebraska pitcher Liam Thomson did his part in helping his team beat the Mancelona Torch, 6-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. The Plainsmen raised their record to 32-26.
Phil McCroskey made it 6-3 in favor of Nebraska when he delivered a 3-run home run. It came with one out in the top of the eighth. The Plainsmen went on to win.
"We took advantage of our opportunities," McCroskey told the Nebraska Daily. "It's as simple as that."
