Plainsmen Roll Over Dragoons, 9-1
|
Nebraska Plainsmen starter Liam Thomson kept the Louisiana Dragoons hitters in check, leading his team to a comfortable 9-1 win. In 8.2 innings, Thomson surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 3. He allowed 1 run. The Plainsmen now have a mark of 21-18.
It could have been a different outcome for Nebraska, had it not been for Hal Gast, the 21-year old shortstop . Gast contributed a run-scoring hit-by-pitch in the top of the fourth inning to put Nebraska up, 3-0.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Thomson said after the game.
