Hawks Field was the site of a competitive game between the Highwood Hawks and Alameda Airmen.

The Alameda Airmen bested the Highwood Hawks by a score of 4-2, with shortstop Mick Spargo getting the main credit. On the day, Spargo was 4-5 with a triple, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for the Airmen. The Airmen improved to 12-10.

Spargo came through with some timely hitting for Alameda. With the score 1-1 in the top of the third and no one down, Spargo hit a first pitch fastball for a 2-run triple. His 1st triple of the season made it 3-1, Alameda.
