Lionhearts Get Close Win Over Loons
|
Fans who gathered at Loony Bin saw a good contest between the Lannister United Lionhearts and Minnesota Loons.
The inspired effort of Minnesota catcher Júlio Vargas was not enough to prevent a 6-4 loss to the Lannister United Lionhearts. Vargas went 2-4 with 2 home runs. Lannister United starter Pak Dong Hyeon was credited with the win after throwing 109 pitches over 7.2 innings. His record now stands at 6-8. Harry Mander sewed up the save, his 5th.
Jayden Laming aided the Lannister United cause with a 2-run single in the top of the eighth. For the game, the first baseman was 3-5 with 3 singles. He drove in 2 runs.
In comments to the Lannister United Daily, Laming admitted that he doesn't always push himself. "But the results," he said, "speak for themselves."
The Lionhearts sit in 5th place in the Premier AA with a record of 49-50.
