Rails Edge Youth, 3-2
|
The Richland Rails faced a tough opponent in Phoenix Hotspur pitcher Alberto Solís, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Rails Ballpark by a final score of 3-2. Solís went 8 innings and allowed 1 earned run. Richland reliever Matko Perisc was credited with the win, to go to 3-4. Leon von Stroheim took the loss for Phoenix Hotspur. Richland is now 38-52.
Michael Bradshaw had a productive at-bat for the Rails with no one out in the bottom of the tenth. With runners on 1st and 2nd, the designated hitter drew a walk. The at-bat was important in the Richland win.
"We played a good game and came out on top," said Bradshaw.
