Asheville shortstop Víctor Hernández was instrumental in his team's 10-4 win over the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles. Hernández went 3-4 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Highlanders. Jesús Martínez picked up the save, his 3rd. Asheville now sits at 37-51, while Mercer Island falls to 54-34.

Asheville took the lead in the top of the sixth. With no one out and the bases empty, Robert Hillier stroked a solo home run to make it 5-4, Highlanders.
