Continentals Win Thriller, 6-5
|
The Northville Eclipse got a superb performance from pitcher Jeff Greer. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Chesapeake. The Continentals won the game, 6-5. In spite of the loss, Greer was named the player of the game. He threw 6 innings of 3-hit ball. Chesapeake now owns a record of 44-43.
Chesapeake designated hitter Rubén Arce helped the Continentals go up, 6-5, in the bottom of the 17th inning. With the game tied, Arce hit a run-scoring single off Northville pitcher Kyle MacRae.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling pretty confident after that win," said Arce.
