Screaming Eagles Get Close Win Over Continentals
Starting pitcher Victor Lustig pitched well enough to help the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles beat the Chesapeake Continentals by the score of 5-3. Nésto Gago was called on to finish, recording his 15th save. Mercer Island leads the Premier AA by 4 games.

A crucial at-bat came with a runner on 1st and no one out in the bottom of the seventh inning. That's when right fielder Harry Freidricks, who is tied for 3rd in the PAA in bases on balls with 53, reached on an error by the SS. The Screaming Eagles went on to win.
