The Minnesota Loons topped the Richland Rails, 5-3, in USPL Double A action at Rails Ballpark. The player of the game was Minnesota second baseman Ramón Yniguez. Luis Domínguez was the winning pitcher. Over 7 innings, he allowed 3 runs on 8 hits, with 2 walks and 5 strikeouts. Tyler Rodríguez earned his 6th save in 10 chances.
Minnesota grabbed the momentum in the top of the fifth, when Yniguez hit a 2-run double. His 3rd double of the season put the Loons out in front, 3-1.
Yniguez told a Minnesota Today reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
