Screaming Eagles Rally to Eke Out Win
Both teams had their chances, but the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles eventually prevailed at Chesapeake Grounds.

Behind a solid performance from right fielder Harry Freidricks, the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles defeated the Chesapeake Continentals, 4-3. Freidricks was 2-2 with 2 singles and 2 walks. He scored 2 times for the Screaming Eagles. Nésto Gago picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 4-1. Mat Tengku was tagged with the loss.

Giobbe Bastedo found himself in a pressure situation in the top of the tenth. Facing Chesapeake hurler Mat Tengku, the 21-year-old center fielder hit a sacrifice fly. His 20th RBI of the season put the Screaming Eagles on top, 4-3.

Bastedo told the Mercer Island Herald: "I was born for the big stage."
