Both teams had their opportunities, but in the end, the Northville Eclipse got the win.

Northville Eclipse starter Aimo Latva was in fine form against the Chesapeake Continentals at Old-Timers Park, leading his team to a 4-2 win. Northville, at 40-26, sits in second place in the Premier AA.

The Eclipse got a big at-bat from left fielder Alfonso Grappasonni. For the game, Grappasonni was 1 for 4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fourth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run double. His 6th double of the season gave Northville a 2-0 lead.

"Being able to contribute to a win is always a great feeling," Latva told the Northville Today.
