|
Mercer Island right-hander Jaganmani Vivek made an effective start against the Minnesota Loons at Mercer Island Grounds, leading his team to a 4-1 win. Nésto Gago closed the game out for Mercer Island, earning his 10th save. The Loons, at 34-31, have lost 4 straight games.
Tied up with the Loons in the bottom of the fourth inning, the Screaming Eagles got a boost from first baseman Ray Davis. With a runner on 1st, Davis saw a 1-0 fastball from Lorenzo Díaz and hit a 2-run home run to break the stalemate and put Mercer Island on top, 2-0.
