Rails Lose Again, 2-1, to Screaming Eagles

Mercer Island turned a good effort from starter Kenny Aarnoutse into a win over the Richland Rails at Mercer Island Grounds. The final score was 2-1. Aarnoutse got the win, improving to 7-4. He allowed 2 hits and walked 3 over 7 innings. Aarnoutse allowed 1 earned run. Nésto Gago sewed up the save, his 8th.
In the bottom of the third, Stanley van de Ven hit a 2-run home run for Mercer Island. The 2nd home run of the season for the Mercer Island left fielder put the Screaming Eagles on top, 2-0.
