Loons Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Continentals
|
The Chesapeake Continentals got a superb performance from pitcher Juan Costello. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Minnesota. The Loons won the game, 6-4. In spite of the loss, Costello was named the player of the game. He threw 5 innings allowing 1 run. Minnesota, at 29-25, sits in third place in the Premier AA.
António Zúñiga made it 6-4 in favor of Minnesota when he delivered a 2-run single. It came with no one out in the top of the ninth. The Loons went on to win.
Zúñiga told a Minnesota Today reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
