Fur Traders Roll Over Lionhearts, 9-3
|
It was a good time at Ballpark of Tacoma, where fans came to watch the Lannister United Lionhearts and Tacoma Fur Traders get after it.
The Tacoma Fur Traders topped the Lannister United Lionhearts, 9-3, with youngster Yao-pang Chiang playing a key role. Chiang was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 3 times for the Fur Traders in the win. Francisco Bojórquez earned the save, his 2nd, for the Fur Traders.
The tide might have turned with two out in the top of the fifth, had not Marco Sledge made a big pitch. With the bases loaded and the Lionhearts trailing 3-0, he retired José García, who grounded out.
Tacoma is now 21-23, while Lannister United is 21-23.
