Richland starter Poto Scacceri put a stranglehold on the Mercer Island offense. The right-hander had complete command of his forkball in leading the Rails to a 7-1 win. Scacceri, the winner, moves to 5-3. He threw 7.1 innings of 2-hit ball, while fanning 3 and giving up 3 walks. Richland is now 20-23, Mercer Island 23-20.

Early in the game, left fielder León Preciado had a run-scoring single for Richland. It was his 12th hit of the season and put the Rails on top, 1-0.
