Screaming Eagles Topple Eclipse with Late Rally
|
The Mercer Island Screaming Eagles got a magnificent performance from pitcher Victor Lustig, who muffled the Northville offense en route to a tight 3-1 Screaming Eagles win at Old-Timers Park. Arthur Clough picked up the save, his 2nd. Mercer Island occupies third place in the Premier AA at 21-17.
Sepulveda Zambrano made it 2-1 in favor of Mercer Island when he delivered a run-scoring double. It came with two out in the top of the eighth. The Screaming Eagles went on to win.
"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Zambrano said.
