Eclipse Edge Past Continentals, 4-3
|
The Eclipse faced a stiff challenge from Chesapeake pitcher Pang Qin, but persevered to claim a win at Chesapeake Grounds. The final score was 4-3. Qin went 6 innings and allowed 3 earned runs. Getting the save was Ramiro García, his 1st. Chesapeake's current losing streak is now 5 games.
The most critical at-bat came in the top of the 15th inning. With two out, Juan León hit a full count fastball from Ed Cartmell for a run-scoring single. It put Northville in front, 4-3.
"Our guys are never satisfied," said Northville manager Juan Padilla.
