The Tacoma Fur Traders knocked off the Richland Rails, 17-6, at Ballpark of Tacoma. Chad Silander, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason Tacoma won. The second baseman was 2-3 with 2 singles, 2 walks, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 4 times and drove in 3. With the win, Tacoma goes to 3-4.

One of the key players for the Fur Traders was center fielder Elmer Hudgins, who drilled a 2-run single in the bottom of the fifth inning. For the game, Hudgins went 4-6 with 4 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2.
