The Chesapeake Continentals got a magnificent performance from pitcher Ricardo García, who muffled the Richland offense en route to a tight 2-1 Continentals win at Rails Ballpark. With the win, Chesapeake boosts its record to 3-3.

The most important at-bat for Chesapeake came in the top of the 13th inning, when first baseman Jorge Alfiche stroked a 1-2 fastball to center for a run-scoring single, putting Chesapeake up, 2-1.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," Alfiche said.
